Coming Home

This past week we came home for my Birthday and for Ashley's wedding.

This year all I wanted for my birthday is my two front teeth and a Root Canal.

On my 25th birthday I spent the day getting a root canal.

Josh came back with me, I thought to hold my hand, but ended up taking numerous pictures of me in my finest moments.

To recap why I spent my birthday at the dentist:

For the last 6 months we have been living in California and I have been without my dentist.
The only dentist in my area that covered our insurance worked out of a garage in China Town.

I was not going to trust my teeth with him.

I conquered a Root Canal on my Birthday!

Now its time to go get ready for my Birthday Party!

Friday:

Bachelorette Party for Ash at Olive Garden. Yes I ate Olive Garden the night before and had Oliver Garden for Lunch and then Dinner.

In between the wedding and the reception, Josh and I ran to Walmart and BARELY missed

Al Jefferson by about 30 seconds. Josh was so so so bummed, he still has not stopped talking about it.

We really miss you guys a lot!!!!! Sorry about the root canal too. That looks NO fun. I'm going to the dentist Wednesday so wish me luck. Blah! In case you are interested to know how Josh and I came to be... I will be the first to tell our story.
Believe it or not, we actually went to preschool together! I don't remember him and he doesn't remember me, but we have a poloroid to prove it!
We actually grew up in the same neighborhood. I moved away in third grade and long story short, we met back up in High School. My best friend took him to sweethearts and I thought he was the funniest, corkiest person ever... Exactly my type!
So after being friends for quite some time he finally decided to take me on a date, a double date. Our first date began with me having to pick him up from a parade ( he was selling big stick ice creams) and to my arrival noticing that he was wearing a wife-beater! Which was funny, because I am pretty sure that I spent all day getting ready for him :)
I think he put a nicer shirt on over the wife beater to get dolled up for I-Hop! We shared our first first romantic dinner over a funny-faced pancake and orange juice!
When walking me to the garage door that night, I think he kissed me... He was so nervous that he did it so fast and paced back to the car faster than lightening... It was true Love!
He went on his mission in February 2005, and we wrote almost every week. I dated lots of people, but no one measured up to my "Shu Shu!"
We then dated when he got back for about a year and then decided to tie the knot in Hawaii and the rest is history still being written!
