Blackout!

Last night, after returning from my Zumba class and grocery shopping, I decided to treat myself to a refreshing mud-mask. ( Refer to picture above)
After applying the mud, I just knew that I should light some candles because the power was going to go out. So I shuffled through the cupboard with all of our miscellaneous items and found some candles to light. When Josh got home he thought I was trying to be romantic, but I assured him that the power was going to go out.
About ten minutes after our conversation, all the lights went out followed by an explosion outside. We went to our window to notice that the condo' complex next to ours still had their power... looks like my premonition came in handy.
So before we knew it, our little neighborhood was gathered in the center of the complex with fears and flashlights. A girl walked up to me and asked, "What is wrong with your face?"
I had completely forgotten I had the mask on! It could have been a scene out of a 1950's horror film. Power out, Girl with Mud Mask, dun dun dun!
Needless to say, our power came back on around 1:00 A.M awaking us from our sleep as all the lights went on in our room!
What a night!!

There was no wind and no rain.

Cheesecake Factory... Finally

Last night, Josh and I finally made it to the new Cheesecake Factory! Josh's grandpa was in town, so we went out to eat with the Shaws and it was DELICIOUS!

We have been meaning to go since it opened... like months ago, but we could not bear the lines.
It's finally "worth it" to go since it was only a 45 minute wait on a Monday!
So we got our chance, and I highly recommend the cookie dough cheesecake! It was gone in two seconds flat! I also posted a picture with my two adorable new sisters!

Did you know...

Instead of writing about my life and posting my latest adventures, I decided to educate my readers on random facts that would be a useful conversation starter or future Jeopardy questions. Sound smart at your next company party or your family reunion!
I am posting this one specifically for Jordan Hart and Joshua Shaw, who believe that mostly EVERYONE uses a blog to glamorize there life and make them look cooler than they are by putting up the pictures that they look the best in!
So this is for you boys... An educational post.

  • In the average lifetime, a person will walk the equivalent of 5 times around the equator!
  • Diet Coke was only invented in 1982.
  • Lightening bolts are only two inches wide.
  • The average human eats 8 spiders in their lifetime at night.
  • On average, 12 newborns will be given to the wrong parents daily!
  • Rod Stewart was once a grave digger.
