Bury me in Sand Please!!

"Bury me in Sand" were the very words coming out of the little boy's mouth... as we ran towards the lake. That little boy ladies and gentleman was shu shu. So in August we went to Bear Lake with our friends Cole and Lisa and had SO MUCH FUN! We ate raspberry shakes, played at the lake, held a mini olympics at the pool, hot tubbed, rounds of Jenga... Jenga..., buried Josh in the sand, and found AND bought the coolest vintage earrings in the world.
This picture is a real classic. The lady taking the picture was a VERY old and frail women sitting inside of her ford truck, we were worried it would not turn out considering her shaking hand, but it turned out to be a gem!

The next weekend we went to Lake Mead with my family (The Davenports) and it was the trip of many mishaps. To start, our motor home blew a tire on the way down there and we had to end up getting 8 new tires on the whole thing... which led to us sitting in a small town by the name of Cove Fort for three hours. Next adventure was my dad forgot to grab the life jackets. So we had to stop in St. George and buy new ones for all five of us. The next day when we woke up we decided to dock the boat so we could go play on the lake... The ranger came up to us and informed us that there were severe thunderstroms coming and winds up to 60 miles an hour and she advised us not to go on the lake... So we drove to Vegas that day!! We ate at a yummy mexican restaurant at Mandalay Bay that would end up making my poor little mom sick and her laying in bed in the motor home as we drove around Vegas!

The next day we went out on the lake, had a picnic and went tubin. Well as our luck would have went this trip, the weather got bad again so we went in and played cards and laughed about our crazy trip.

Our one source of luck on our trip was a beautiful sunset! It was the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. The sky looked like it was on fire!
So our last day we were there, the weather was great! We had to get as much boating in as we could before heading home ! We drove our boat to the Hover Dam because Josh had never seen it in person!

Josh, me, and Hover Dam!
